Pilgrim III Construction reaches 1st Anniversary
JUNE 2026
The project to build PILGRIM III is celebrating its' first anniversary this month.
Since our official start date of 1 June 2025, we have accomplished the following:
Established a working shipyard with all necessary protocols for materials acquisition, handling, preparation for installation and installation in the ship,
Put together a quality workforce composed of experienced shipwrights, journeymen ship carpenters and joiners, apprentices willing to learn the art and science of shipbuilding and, of course, a loyal cadre of Volunteers willing to give their time and expertise to building the ship,
Procured the necessary resources to provide materials to the project in a timely delivery format and utilizing the highest quality of woods, metals, fasteners, adhesives and paints that can be found,
Established a management team to keep all of the above organized and the project flowing in an efficient manner,
And, per our project Benefactor's requirements, have started the educational program to integrate BITCOIN into all aspects of the production effort.
We have also provided websites, one of which you are experiencing reading this note, where the Friends of PILGRIM III can go to follow progress of the project, exchange ideas and insights related to the ship and topics of historical, naval architectural, maritime endeavors, historical shipbuilding technologies, modern shipbuilding technology - or whatever strikes your fancy with regard to the ship we are building.
Also, through links to the PILGRIM III FOUNDATION websites, we will be providing a forum for discussion of topics related to BITCOIN and the fact that it is powering this whole project. We encourage your insight and experience to help us in our quest to more easily incorporate BITCOIN in the workings of the project and how it may be of mutual benefit to the project and all of the PILGRIM III Friends.
Please check the CHRONOLOGY page to see the history of the project to date in photographs, and be sure to click on the link to the cameras to get a real-time view of what's currently going on in the construction of the ship. Also, coming in the not too distant future will be a page containing detailed pictorial rundowns of how each of the major components in the hull assembly are taken from the raw material stage to completion with installation in the ship.
